Dr Raj Kumar Radhakrishnan

Dr Raj is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatologist with extensive clinical experience across the UK and India. His expertise spans general paediatrics, paediatric emergency care, neonatal care, high dependency care and outpatient paediatrics. He has worked across a broad range of paediatric subspecialties and has significant experience managing acutely unwell children, providing consultant-level emergency cover and supporting multidisciplinary paediatric teams. Dr Raj completed his MBBS at Tuticorin Government Medical College Hospital, followed by an MD in Paediatrics and Neonatology at the Institute of Child Health, Madras Medical College. His career has included senior paediatric and neonatal positions at Apollo Children’s Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn, Gleneagles Global Hospital and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Most recently, he worked as a Locum Consultant Paediatrician at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital in Scotland, where his responsibilities included general paediatric clinics, high-dependency care, emergency paediatric cover, clinical teaching and
supervision of trainees.

• Experience in teaching and supervising undergraduate students, specialty trainees, fellows and postgraduate doctors
• Held leadership responsibilities including middle grade rota co-ordination and academic coordination for paediatric trainees
• Paediatric relief work during the 2015 Chennai floods, providing free community medical camps
