About

Dr Sandeep Mahendra is a well-known Internal Medicine Specialist with a strong academic background and more than 17 years of experience in tertiary care. He believes in an evidence-based, comprehensive approach to managing everything from straightforward clinical concerns to complex medical conditions.

He has extensive experience working in intensive care units as part of multidisciplinary teams, and he also provides clinical services in the outpatient department and urgent care at Health City Cayman Islands. Dr Sandeep completed his training at KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research and its affiliated medical college, JNMC—both highly ranked institutions in India.

For the past 12 years, he has been an integral part of Health City Cayman Islands, where he has helped manage complex medical cases and contributed significantly to the local community. His clinical interests include endocrinology, diabetes, dialysis, autoimmune disorders, and infectious diseases. He has substantial expertise in caring for patients with kidney failure and served was in charge of the dialysis unit at Health City Cayman Islands until 2023.

Dr Sandeep is also a Fellow in Intensive Care Medicine. He is a life member of the Indian Medical Association and currently serves as Chairperson of Pharmacotherapeutics at Health City Cayman Islands.
