Post operatively, if a consultant decided they needed to see a patient urgently this would be co-ordinated by our out-of-hours team. Medical tourism is a term used to describe people traveling outside their home country for medical treatment. Candidates for medical tourism include people seeking high quality medical care that is unaffordable in their own country; people seeking tertiary care at world-class facilities that are renowned for specific specialties; and people who cannot access care in their home countries due to challenges such as extensive waiting lists.

Once your surgery is scheduled, you will be assigned to a Patient Care Coordinator, who is part of our Patient Care Relations Team. A team member contacts and liaises with every patient, prior to scheduling and through the discharge process. This includes scheduling medical appointments, coordinating admissions and discharge, organising your travel and accommodations, and managing billing and payment.

Yes. We are proud to say that in May 2015, we earned the prestigious Gold Seal of Approval from Joint Commission International (JCI), the worldwide leader in accrediting the quality of healthcare. The American Medical Association has advised that companies promoting medical tourism only work with facilities that have been accredited by JCI or the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua). Receiving this accreditation positions Health City Cayman Islands for exciting growth, as we build on our already strong reputation of providing world-class care at affordable prices.
