Dr Romnesh de Souza is an Interventional Neurologist with experience in treating complex neuro interventional  cases. He also treats other neurological disorders and performs neurodiagnostic testing such as EMG/NCS/EEG/VEP. His aim is to provide tertiary care neurology services for the Caribbean and surrounding regions.

Dr. Romnesh has been a part of Health City Cayman Islands since 2016, serving as a Consultant Interventional Neurologist. His field of interest is stroke and interventional neurology. He earned his
MBBS at Dr DY Patil Hospital and Research Centre , Navi Mumbai in 2004. He was a Senior Resident at the Department of Neurology, Jaslok Hospital and Research Center, Mumbai and went on to be a DNB Neurology Trainee at Narayana Institute of Neurosciences, Narayana Health City, Bangalore. Prior to joining Health City he conducted a Fellowship in Stroke and Interventional Neurology Narayana Institute of Neurosciences, Narayana Health City, Bangalore.

Dr Romnesh is a distinguished physician with a prolific body of research and numerous publications to his name. Among his notable contributions, he has published pioneering studies on the latest
treatments for Multiple Sclerosis and has been at the forefront of groundbreaking procedures such as the first mechanical thrombectomy for acute stroke and the first flow diverter for intracranial aneurysms. He has also led the way in doing the first AVM embolisation, the first dural fistula embolisation, and the first
bypass surgery for giant MCA aneurysms.
